🎶 Andrew Savage – Official Newsletter Volume 1 | April 2025

Hey friends,

Welcome to the very first edition of the newsletter! I promise to keep it short and sweet — you’ll only hear from me about once a month with updates, new music, and upcoming shows.

🌟 New Music Out Now!

The past few months have been a whirlwind. I’ve just wrapped up my first full-length album, which is set to release at the end of the summer. I can't wait to share the full thing with you.

But until then, I’ve started rolling out a few singles — and the latest one is a special one:

🎧 “Savannah, So Lonesome”
This song means a lot to me, and recording it was one of those rare, magic studio days.
It’s released alongside two other tracks:

  • Parking Lot Puddle
  • Goddess of War

Every stream, save, and share helps more than you know — thank you for being part of this journey.

Parking Lot Puddle got a nice blog write up by Alt77!

Full Article Here - ALT77! Parking Lot Puddle Blog

Big Shoutout to Eduard from Alt77! for giving us a nice write up and playlist spot for Parking Lot Puddle. I think he gets it. Big love from Austin, Texas

Make sure to visit his page as well as taking a peek at his spotify playlist - here is the link to that

"Success in math is simple but heartbreaking math. Do you want to make sure you make it? Have a couple more good days than terrible days. That sounds simple enough. Here are numbers that we can trust.

But that also means that the more you live, the more the terrible days are going to pile up. It’ll mean that you’ll have to fight tooth and nail to counterbalance those. It’ll mean having to force on a smile when a frown would feel like it belongs much more naturally on there.

Most people don’t get a parade when they do well. Even more heartbreakingly, they don’t get any grand gesture when they feel like their world is about to be torn apart. There’s no dramatic music in the background and no people writing social media messages of support.

Still, there is something… Songs like Andrew Savage’s “Parking Lot Puddle” are out there, and they’re waiting to be found by people who have a hole in their heart that is as big as the songwriter and singer when they put these lines to tape. “Parking Lot Puddle” sounds like an explosion. It’s fireworks honouring a car crash. Most people have nothing but their musicians to provide them with that. " -

Tiny Desk Concert Submission

I am honored to present you with the Andrew Savage tiny desk concert submission for 2025. Joe, Hillcat, Hilling on drums and Jack Meidel of the bass. We played Parking Lot Puddle acoustic style with Harmonica and the Brushes. We usually play this one full blast with the electric guitars.

Playing this one acoustic with the band brought out another element to it and we allowed the groove to really develop. We shot this one in my living room and did a bunch of our friends videos here on the same day. This one is definitely my favorite live video we have done this year and we hope you enjoy it as well. From Austin, Texas I present, Andrew Savage - Parking Lot Puddle -

The Last time I posted a tiny Desk Submission was wayyyyy back in 2021 with Water the cat. I'll post that here later if you're lucky.

In other New's, Parking Lot Puddle will be released with the full band version as the 2nd single on Savage's upcoming full length record on March 13th. Preceeded by Goddess of War. Goddess of war and Parking lot Puddle Release

Goddess of War has been set free into the world after many years of it not being played. It was the first song off of Andrew Savages upcoming debut full lengh LP to be released. It dropped on Friday Jan 24th while Savage along with Joe “Hillcat" Hilling and Jack Meidel played in the middle of a highway and answered the burning questions that needed to be answered like, “What is your favorite ice cream?”,  Savage is a simple man and chose vanilla.

The second single is due to release now and it is titled Parking Lot Puddle, A demo was put out to the streaming servies back in 2019 but this version is fresh. Savage is backed by his band and it was recorded in the same day that we recorded Goddess of War. Lizzie budin did the album and and we are all just skipping stones and waiting for the release. but in the mean time go and listen to Goddess of War and pre save Parking Lot Puddle. See you next time!

Fire Me Up - Video Release

Hello! This is Andrew Savage here to share my bands latest video. This is a live recording of Fire Me Up with pro recorded audio and professionally filmed in one take by Hermino Mendez. This one is called “Fire Me Up” and its one of the songs on our upcoming album tentatively titled “Imperfect and Flawed”. This is part of a three song set that we recorded at Joe Hilling's House a few months ago. We also recorded "Goddess of War" and “Savannah, So Lonesome”. Both Goddess and Savannah videos will be coming out over the next month or two. Goddess of War is set to be the first single of the upcoming album. We took the Neil young approach to these videos in that we recorded live takes of the songs. Goddess of War took 3 or 4 takes but Fire me up was the next one and it was a real quick first try. one and done on this one Jack Meidel and Joe Hilling are a solid duo backing me, They make it easy, if anyone messes up its me haha. It alloys us to play through the songs without click tracks, no fuss and feathers here, all rust and glory. please enjoy “Fire Me Up” by Andrew Savage, performed by Jack Meidel and Joe Hilling.

In other news. We will be playing a gig at The Hole in the Wall on Saturday. Super excited for the First Andrew Savage full band show of the year. Quickly followed up by the Goddess of War release which will be on January 24th when we play and live stream our Local Sets Atx performance. you can find their youtube channel here https://www.youtube.com/@LocalSetsATX . thanks and all the love!
